Bonita Beach Cleanup

On Friday night, August 22, four members of the FGCU Fishing Club partnered with Love Blue, an ocean conservation nonprofit, for a two-hour beach cleanup at Bonita Beach.

The crew collected 29 pounds of trash from the shoreline, including plastic bottles, cans, and other litter — helping to protect the beach and the marine life that call it home.

The cleanup was not only a success in terms of waste removed but also a fun way for members to connect outside of fishing trips and tournaments. Big thanks to Love Blue for organizing and to everyone who came out to support the cause!
