Life of a Peer Educator: Trainings

As peer educators we facilitate many different outreach events on campus throughout the week. To do all of these we learn and practice our content frequently. Here is one of the things we do:

Trainings  

 

 

Training is an integral part of a Peer Educators’ job to ensure we stay informed and are able to continue educating the student body with the best of our abilities. We meet once a week on Wednesday mornings from 8:15am-10:15am to cover a new topic from our wellness wheel taught by an expert. We also schedule our shifts for the week and discuss strategies for bettering our tables, programs, and events. Also, once a year during the month of August, we have our retreat where we bond as a group to improve our teamwork when it comes to all the outreach events.
