Our Grads Don't Need Glitter (or Confetti) to SPARKLE!

Remember: Glitter is Litter!
Please do not use glitter or plastic confetti in your celebration photos.

Glitter and most confetti are made of plastic that does not biodegrade and eventually washes out to our waterways. Preventing litter is especially important here on campus because FGCU is located on a regional, interconnected watershed system that spills into the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve and joins the Gulf of Mexico. Preventing litter and pollution helps make sure that our waterways remain clean to protect the environment and wildlife.

GREENER ALTERNATIVE:  Pick up a free packet of ECOFETTI from the Department of Environmental Health & Safety.  Ecofetti is a biodegradable, water-soluble, environmentally friendly confetti made from blown cornstarch and non-toxic dyes that requires no cleanup.
