Ice Skating Club Members switch from GroupMe to Discord!
In hopes of gaining more interaction between members and the university, Ice Skating Club launches their own Discord server! All current members will have an email with the link to join the discord in their inbox sent from FGCUICESKATING@GMAIL.COM, on Thursday, November 17th.
You may need to create a discord account. The Discord app can be downloaded on desktop and mobile devices. You can also log in on an inernet browser. The server will be an outlet for officers to promote upcoming practices, club events, other sport club events, community service events, fundraising events, team boniding events, administrative events, elections, updates and more!
If you are interested in gaining service learning hours, supporting your favorite sports clubs, and building a strong team, then keep a keen eye in our "monthly-calendar" channel. The channel "score-points" teaches members why it is important for these events to be atteneded, from the club's perspective. Our poll channel keeps engagement flowing; officers appreciate any response, even if it is an RSVP "no".
Our discord server also has fun channels for members to have laughs and start friendly conversations. The club's goal is for everyone to feel like something bigger than just a skating club. We are a group of adults finding their way in this world, lets support one another along the way.
If you have any questions, feel free to send an email to the address listed above, or drop your question in our "general-chat" channel on discord.
