Farmworker Awareness Week 2021!

Join FGCU SFA in celebrating and taking action during this year's Farmworker Awareness Week!

Farmworker Awareness Week takes place from March 25th to March 31st and it is a week of action for students and community members to honor farmworkers' important contributions and to raise awareness about the issues they face. This year, FGCU SFA has planned a week-long series of activities and events to stand in solidarity with farmworkers, raise awareness on campus, and mobilize students to participate in the Boycott Wendy's campaign.

Thursday 3/25 - We will be starting off by sharing memes and tagging Wendy's official account. Please share and post with #cancelwendys #farmworkerawarenessweek

Friday/Saturday 3/26-27 - We encourage everyone to read our post about Farmworkers and repost it on your social media using #boycottwendys @wendys #farmworkerawarnessweek

Monday 3/29 - We have partnered with YDSA and we will have an educational open discussion

Tuesday 3/30 - We will be tabling in the Student Plaza from 11 am to 2 pm. Please feel free to stop by to get stickers and buttons!

Wednesday 3/31 - Join us for a panel with community members from Immokalee and the Coalition of Immokalee Workers to learn more about farmworkers' experiences and the role of activists!
