Fgcu Salseros Art/Design Contest
FGCU Salseros is an organization that brings the fun of Latin dancing, friendship, and family together to create a truly unique organization to FGCU. We teach and perform Latin dances such as Bachata, Merengue, Reggaeton, and especially Salsa. Our goal is to help every member build confidence and grow as an individual surrounded by a supportive group. We welcome anyone and everyone to participate in our art/design contest! We want to see what our fellow students can create and are very excited for what they have in store. This initiative will be a great way to become more involved on campus and interact with an FGCU organization. This contest will be open to all FGCU students. You do not need to be an active Salseros member to participate.
FGCU Salseros is currently looking for designs that resemble dance, salsa, cultural roots, tradition, community engagement, and Salseros (as an organization). Your design theme could include one or more of the previously mentioned topics, but not all of them are required. There is a simple quote from one of the greatest artists that says:
"Everything you can imagine is real." -- Pablo Picasso
Make your vision real and share it with us! We want to represent our students! What better way to show off and promote their artwork through everything that our organization has to offer?
You might be asking yourself, “well what will my design be used for?”. Your design(s) will be used for Salseros merchandise such as stickers, shirts, hats, etc. It would be an amazing contribution to our Register Student Organization (RSO) because it would allow us to promote the club. Also, it creates a great way of being able to get your artwork out there since people will be literally carrying your creativity around. You will be able to add your signature, if you choose to do so, and keep a sample of the first batch printed. Make sure you place your signature in a corner of your design as it will be printed all together.
Your design must adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Your design should include at least one of these elements: dance, salsa, cultural roots, tradition, community engagement, and Salseros (as an organization).
2. All designs must be submitted to fgcusalseros@gmail.com by Monday February 28th.
a. Make sure to put “Fgcu Salseros Art/Design Contest” as the email subject.
3. Your design should be submitted as a PNG file or a JPEG with high resolution.
The winners will be announced during the 4th week of March.
