Event: Vanderbilt Beach Cleanup Date: September 20, 2025 Time: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Location: Vanderbilt Beach Park (100 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34108)   We provide Free Parking at Parking Garage thanks to Collier County Parks and Rec.   What To Bring: Reuseable water bottle and wear comfortable clothes. We suggest a hat and sunglasses.   What We Provide: All tools needed, sunblock, water refill jug, light snacks, and designated team members who take pictures and ensure safety.   Safety Guidelines: Drink plenty of water and take breaks as needed. Set a timer to come back at a set time. Watch out for sharp objects, glass, and wildlife. Avoid heavy lifting and work with a buddy at all times. Do not touch hazardous materials such as needles or chemicals. Report heavy items to our designated team member.   Post Cleanup: Weigh your buckets and join the group photo at 10:45 am.   Why Help: Beach cleanups are a last line of defense to prevent debris from causing harm to our oceans, to wildlife, to our coastal economies, and even beach-goers. The Calusa Nature Center will have several crafts, games, hiking adventures, and so much more that FGCU Students can assist with to earn service-learning hours. Join the Pokémon Go Club members as they go through FGCU's main campus to battle against the strong raid bosses. Members will meet under the covered area located between library lawn and Griffin Hall where club officers will have a table set up to assist in group formations.
