Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore new skills, build confidence, and grow creatively. What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school dance session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will plan and teach beginner-friendly routines, encourage participation, and create a fun and engaging atmosphere. All styles of dance are welcome, and no professional teaching experience is required—just a passion for working with kids and sharing the joy of movement. At BSAO, FGCU students will register parents: reviewing needed documentation and providing appointment cards for parents to go the Fire Department in December and "shop" for their children. We particularly need students that are bi-lingual in Spanish and English because we have many Hispanic community members who participate in our Toys for Tots program. In 2024, we registered over 930 kids to receive presents!
